finally relented

Postby mirach » Mon Mar 09, 2015 5:44 pm

hi to all on here. I have finally accepted that 50 is too old for a bike engine kit car and bought a lovely 2002 (51) xk8 and have to say was one of the most sensible things I have ever done, (apart from the fact that I could fix the kitcar if it went wrong)

Well done! Keep reading the BB posts and the mysteries of maintaining an XK8 will soon disappear. :) Mike.

Hi Rob, welcome from another newbie !
Got mine in December last so still getting to grips with it in terms of repair / renovation... enjoying it too.

How about a "bike engined" production car to satisfy your kit car need... get yourself a Honda S2000 !

9000 rpm, 240 bhp, lowish weight, six speed box, rear wheel drive, two seats,... bike on four wheels !

The Jag? lovely, quick, comfy, effortless cruiser.... love it ! :D

agree with all the comments on the jag the bike engined kit was a real scream, 9000 revs yeehaa just coming on second cam. like I have said though ..far too manic for me,
no real issues with the xk as yet save for saggy headliner I have glued it back but problem is that the material has parted company with the foam backing so glue shows through, will get it sorted properly soon .
