New to Jaguar

Postby JeffV » Fri Nov 07, 2014 11:16 am

We Have just sold our two cars and bought an 2007 4.2 XKR she attracts a lot of admiring glances and has certainly put a smile on my face. :D
We only got her a week ago with nearly 50k on the clock, and we have found a few little niggles which we are in the process of correcting. We have been dealing with Chris at the Jag Specialist, Armthorpe, Doncaster and he has been brilliant at helping us with our enquiries, and has done us a full service.
I will be posting more as time goes by.

Jeff

A smile is quite appropriate I think. As you use the good doctor, Chris Isles, you must be in the Lincs/Yorks area? Are you attached to a region, and if not you are invited to join us at Lincs North. See our website at www.JEC-LincsNorth.com where all is revealed, or ring me or e-mail if you need any more. Paul.

Welcome Jeff. Apart from regional events, you will have the opportunity to join in with the XK8 Forum runs and other social activities like the Christmas lunch at Buxton (details in this month's magazine). Next year, we will also have a trip to Heidelberg Germany (details in Dec's mag) plus a couple of UK runs, neither of which is likely to be too far from home for you. If you send me a pic of your new car and few words about it and what attracted you to it, I'll feature it in the XK8 Forum section of the magazine. I'm always keen to receive material for our pages. Mike.

Hello Jeff,
like you I also live in Doncaster and have used Chris since buying our first Jaguar in 2012. Always very well pleased with the service, and did you know that Chris also runs a small show at the start of spring at his premises. It has always attracted a good turn out with many JEC members attending. Having noticed Paul's invite to Lincoln region I would also like to make you aware of South Yorkshire region of which I am Vice Chairman. Our meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month in the Phoenix Social Club, Rotherham. You are more than welcome to join us.

Looks good. Will it be ready for the first XK Forum run of the year in the Yorkshire Dales? Keep your eyes on the magazine and this bulletin board for more details shortly! :) Mike.
