Hello from Yorkshire

Postby GEOFFL » Sat Jan 12, 2013 7:26 pm

Hi Ladies, Gentlemen and others

Just taking this opportunity to say hello and introduce myself.
I'm 61 (or a dyslexic 16) old, male, disabled, retired through health problems but doing well. My previous car was an excellent X type 3.0 Lt. Sport which I bought as a treat for myself (my first Jag) which I expected to be my last vehicle purchase. However no-one told me that Jags are addictive and I was receiving a good prognosis from my consultant when I saw the XK's. Oh dear
Not to bore you all, my excellent X which I loved for all the time I had it (10 er months) became a bright red XKR and I am over the moon, I've had it 3 weeks and not had chance for a "proper" drive
in her (the Dragon) due to the weather but anticipating good things and looking forward to exploring and hopefully contributing to this site.

Bye for now

Hello from Buckinghamshire!.
I've recently bought my first Jag a 1997 XK8 and this forum has been a fantastic source of information and has been a real help to me. I hope you get as much pleasure from your XKR as i've got from my 8.
Best regards
Dave

Hi & welcome Geoff,

You might find the next XK8 run on 7th April a good way to meet fellow XK8 enthusiasts and to enjoy your XKR. Make sure you read the next (Feb) edition of the magazine for more details. :) Mike.

Can't comment on Taskers as I haven't used them. N&S were recommended to me by a friend with a jag and I've used them when I had my X Type and was very pleased with their price and service. I haven't had cause to use them for the XKR yet but will be doing when my service is due.
