Hello all
My name is Keith and I live in Cambridgeshire between Peterborough and Cambridge.
I recently bought an 07 XKR. Whilst doing my research before buying I found the JEC website and decided that if I bought an R I would be joining the club so here I am.
I've recently semi retired from a Civil Service job (still there part time) and sold an MG ZTT 260, the one with t he 4.6 litre V8 Mustang engine so that I could have a proper retirement "toy".
One question, can anyone decipher the paint code LJZ, the car is silver/grey but it would be nice to confirm the correct paint name, and the trim code LEG CZ.
I've ordered tickets for the International day at Weston Park on 24th June so hope to see some other members there.

Re: New member in Cambridgeshire
Hi Keith
Welcome to the XK8 Forum
I have an unconfirmed record that Paint Code LJZ is Lunar Grey (I have a set of Jaguar Heritage produced listing to to year 2005 but Lunar Grey is post 2005)
LEG is Warm Charcoal. However, I don't know what the 2nd part of the Trim Code is
See you at Weston Park

I have a 2007 XK in Lunar Grey and can confirm the paint code is LJZ.
However my trim code is NED CZ which is listed as Ivory.

Hi Keith, welcome to the forum and the world of Jaguar
I'm sure you will love it, a lot of coincidences between you and me
I have recently partially retired from a Civil service job and also sold an MG to get an XK8 - I had a 1968 MGC (3.0 litre one
)

Hi Walter
Back in about 1975/76 I was a motor mechanic and I had the pleasure of driving an MGC after servicing it. The garage I worked at was in Chatham in Kent and part of our test drive route was a long steep hill on a dual carriageway. Most cars we drove in that era coped with the hill but couldn't really motor up it, what an exception the MGC was. At 70 mph I put my foot to the floor and I could still feel the nudge in my back as it shot forward. A great car indeed, it says something for the Jaguar if you were happy to let the MGC go for a Jaguar.
