HOME-for good. + Back in the club !

Hi all,cut a long storey - short, just worked thru a 25yr love/hate relationship with Australia!
Had to sell my pride and joy XKR in 2009 in Brisbane that i took over wth us in 2007 . Not all bad news, i did get $ 50,000 aus. Cost me £16,100.00! Shortly after i fell ill with ankolising spondilits (swollen joints-arthritic condition) at just 48yrs old,a fairly fit carpenter. Anyway,im lucky and God Blessed, came thru it and while browsing auto-trader from Aussie i came across anXKR ,identical to my last one! -but £5200.00! After two days watching, the price fell to £4,800.00, grovelling to the boss commenced!!
Nephew deployed to view (from York) car at Solihull within hours, after many e-mails the deal was done and car delivered to a storage in Warwick (Warwich car storage £3- a day !) My arrival back to the UK was still 3 months away!, (26/12/11).
Within a week of our arrival, my son(14yr) and i set off by train to pick her up. When the roller door went up OUR chins nearly hit the floor, cant believe the awesome condition, wheels as new, leather like new(re-coloured),this is a 1998 model !! Took 20 miles for tyres to de-square having been sat, then drove perfect and has ever since. Already started purchasing, second hand polished j- gate surround 4 xmas) and 6 dial rings to follow 4 my bday in jan. I will be having dash sprayed as last car ( old english white-retro look). The car is saphire blue with cashmere leather. Have BIG plans to have sprayed bright white (in dreams at mo), black gloss window trims and gloss black wheels + straight thru zorst!
Have been fortunate that ALL THOSE ENGINE JOBS HAVE BEEN DONE! + this is a well running 100 k Nikasill engine. Happy hunting. Tom.

Hi Tom,
Welcome back! We'll look forward to lots of posts about progress and seeing your mean machine at UK events. Mike. :D
