Just purchased this amazing automobile, so many features I'm on a steep learning curve. About to have Transmission fluid change at 42,000 miles, purchased the filter kit on e-bay, as ESSO LT71141 not available in Canada, going with Amsil 100 % synthetic. Every outing is an experience. Hi Match61, Welcome to the forum. Whilst I have no knowledge of the Amsil transmission fluid and its specification, I'd be very reluctant to go away from the recommended Esso fluid. These are great cars but they are much more sensitive to non standard maintenance treatment compared with, say, an XJS. Rather than risk damaging a very expensive gearbox, it may be worth gritting your teeth and paying Jaguar dealership prices for the correct fluid. Good luck. Mike.
