I spent the day in the glorious Wiltshire countryside south west of Salisbury at Gurston Down for the hill climb event.
I'm a regular visitor to Gurston, the mix of cars tackling the narrow windy track up the hill is always interesting. Anything goes, from road going cars, single cylinder 500cc race cars, motorcycles right up to ex F1 racing cars.
The day started bright and sunny but ended wet and windy. I was wrapped up from the elements so that didn't bother me, in fact the slippery conditions only made the track action more interesting! It is rare these days to get so close to the action, as well as many fine viewing places up most of the hill, you are free to wander the paddocks, get close to the cars and chat with the drivers.
I've added a few photos to give a flavour of the paddock scene but there are many others and videos on t'internet. The official website is http://www.gurstondown.org so why not have a look and plan a day out?
Gurston isn't a Jaguar event, although one or two can be found occasionally.
