Happy Spring All,

With all the sad news circulating, allow me to take your mind off the news for a brief moment with my slightly dodgy YouTube video on my XJ-S.

Have you made a video driving your E28 - I used to own one and miss it terribly so would love to see it if you have. If I had the room I would seriously look for another E28!

Hello,

Sadly, the E28 M535i manual went to the great car God in the sky around 20 years ago
The close ratio 5-speed dog-leg 1st transmission made it's 220bhp feel quicker than what it probably was, but 0 - 60 in around 7 secs for a heavy mid-eighties four door saloon was impressive. Only surpassed by the E28 M5 with it's higher compression and multi-valve 286bhp set-up....

I may see about an XJ40 video at some point, although that may have to wait if I get any reasonable XJ-S footage at Mallory Park this Wed :D

Thanks, Rich

it was about 20 years ago that I parted with my 528I too! I occasionally look on classic car sites for another as the shark nose just looks so cool now I think. I sold mine but checked recently and does not appear on vehicle tax lookup so guess it has gone to the car God as well. I did miss the big six cylinder but now have an even bigger one with the Getrag box. Happy days!
