Original Jaguar tool kits

What is it with toolkits? A plastic box, with a few cheap spanners, a reversible screwdriver and a few bulbs and fuses.
They seem to sell for stupid money on Ebay, even when tatty or parts are missing. Even complete I doubt if they would cope with the average breakdown. I only wish I had a garage full to sell.

Original Jaguar tool kits

A very good question.
I think that it's the same with sales brochures and handbooks.
As someone who has recently bought a toolkit for my car off E-bay (mint, complete inc. paint(wrong colour) for £40.00 inc p&p AND an original Drivers Handbook and plastic "Service Schedule" wallet for £20.00 from someone we all know ((and very pleased I was to get it)) I think the answer is that it is these little bits and pieces that make the car "complete".
You don't have to get involved in any oily bits, nor does it cost a fortune, but if your car is pretty much uptogether you've got to spend your money on something.................haven't you?
(If my car breaks down I have absolutely no intention of opening the toolkit, I'll call Britannia Rescue - Bless'em)

NB If ANYONE has a Jaguar 60th Anniversary Key Fob NAME YOUR PRICE

Best Wishes
