"The Price of Fish"

Dear All
So here it is, a new thread for us to enjoy...........just one thing........
I would HATE to be the person that lumbered the XJ-S/XJS Forum with a thread entitled "the price of fish". I know it appeared in my original post but it was not my intention that it would be called that.... :?
For me, "Off-Topic Subjects" is fine........
 Having said that lets kick off with suggestions about what it should be called...............
Perhaps a closing date is in order???? 16/02/07 :?:
Best Wishes

In fact should we not be calling it "Anything but the price of fish!" on the basis that a comment which does not refer to the core subject is repsonded to with..."What's that got to do with the price of fish?"

OK, so that's what we should (not) be calling it  ..............anyway since it's devoted to off-topic subjects there is no core subject :?: ................that's the point :?
Sorry to be obtuse, it's been a hard day :(

Hmmm; Off-Topic-Subjects... OTS, Open Top Sports, Over Taxed Section, Over The S... I like "The Price of Fish" or "What do you think of the Weather?" or "Gordon Bennet!" or "A load of nonsense" or "Everything Else"

or "Nothing to do with Oily bits" or "You wont find it here".

So, to change the subject, which I think I'm allowed to do in this part of the forum; I'm looking forward to the start of the F1 season and my predictions are.

World Champion - Kimi (just)
Jenson - maybe 3rd/4th
David C - will be on the podium at least once
Mark Webber - will have a strop, be brilliant, have a strop
Lewis Hamilton - will provide us with a thrill and I'll be hoping he does well.
Wurz and Rosberg will do well and Williams will gain some ground on last year.
Antony Davidson and Takumo Sato (great guys) will be accused of getting in Alonso's way.
Michael Schum - will be hovering around for "some reason"????

Bring it on!

Hi all
One advantage with ''The Price of Fish'' as a title, is that we will not easily forget it, or tell friends where to put non related XJS topics. Still lets see what comes back for the best title as this method seems to work very well for those TV programs when they want the viewer participation to make it more personnel to that channels viewers.

Not sure what the prize should be, but I’m sure we will come up with something, watch this space !!!!!. I have just had a thought of what it could be, and it will be a one off and could be very valuable in time to come

PS
Peter will be upset if we change it !!!!!

Interesting suggestions there............
I think your Formula 1 predictions should be a new thread tho.........otherwise we'll end up with one huge long fishy thread.......
That would be an eel then :P

" You have to get up early in the morning to fool you I can see "

...not really, I am working on a project in Taiwan at the moment and we are GMT +8.

I occasionally see an old XJ-S here in Taipei, Mid 80's HE by the look of it. Surprisingly, old Jaguars are very expensive here, partly due to ridiculously high import duty. For example, asking prices for old 88/89 XJ40s in average condition are around GBP 3,000 to 4,000 !

Petrol is realtively cheap though, about 45p a litre.

BTW GREAT Forum.
