SNG Barratts were showing them at Newby last year, new, and they were back available again. Wonder if they have all been bought 'just in case'. Quite expensive as I recall, and about the same as their 4 headlamp conversion which I noticed 'en passant' on their stand there this year.Hope you can find what you need.

Several people got back to me today and it seems as if everyone has them but they are not advertised - how odd?

SNG, David Manners and Jaguar Classic parts all say they are not available over their websites but they can be ordered by email or telephone.

Does anyone knowo why?

I found that most web sites are not kept totally up to date with parts availability. My guess is that there is no direct link between the web site and the parts inventory system. I always phone to check and not bother with their web sites.

iain1980,

All facelift original headlights come from Jaguar Classic Parts (as do all genuine Jaguar parts). If you purchase any genuine Jaguar parts from Barratts, Manners etc then they all come from Jaguar Classic Parts anyway.

Jaguar Classic Parts are pretty good at updating their online parts system to reflect actual stock availability. I can't speak for any of the independents as to how they mange their systems.

The background to the continued availability of facelift headlamps is quite convoluted. There are reasons why JCP may choose not to update their system to show availability of the lights. The moral is, if a part is shown as not available, always ring up JCP to check the accurate situation.

Good luck with sorting out the purchase.
