Brake Shields

Postby franrca » Tue May 26, 2009 9:45 pm

Does anyone know where brake shields can be sourced for a 1995 4.0 with the standard 16" 5 spoke wheels? Is there any reason these shouldn't be used at all?

Thanks

Richard

Brake Shields

Hi Richard

I have a set of said brake shields, part no. MMC1803A, secondhand but in excellent condition. They are an interference fit with the inside rim of the wheel and prevent any brake dust from getting onto the alloys.

Please pm or e-mail me for details.

Hi Franrca,

I've just got some and had them fitted to my XJS because I have chrome like Polished celebration wheels. I brought the versions with the little vents in for brake cooling (TUV approved) but they do seem to keep an amount of dust off of the wheels. Have a look at www.kleen-wheels.co.uk you have t get the correct ones for your wheels, speak to Graham there.
