My XJS has come fitted with 195/65/15 V rated but it looks like I need to replace the two on the front. I see that the manual specifiec 205/70 V R15.
Q1 - Is having 195's a problem on safety or handling grounds that I should rectify? (I am not fussed about slight errors in the speedometer)
Q2 - Should I replace the two front tyres with 205/70 to get back to Jaguar's recommendation and not match the rear?
Q3 - will any brand of tyre that matches the size and speed rating be OK, assuming they are matched on the axle. I am not necessarily wanting to go cheap, but there is such a variety out there. As a summer car, I would be interested in durability over time.
Thanks
Peter

I think 205/70/VR15 is the way to go and suspect (as per original recommendation) Pirelli P4000 is your only choice.
Please trawl previous posts on tyres in this forum as this has been covered several times, tho' the posts may be a bit spread out...........
These tyres ARE available, but you may need to order them through your local dealer from Pirelli, expect to pay approx. £110.00 per corner all in.
Good Luck
