Front anti-roll bar links

Hi all

I'm putting things back together at the front end and I was wondering about how and when to attach the anti-roll bar to the hub upright.

The car is still up on stands and at the moment. When I trial fit the link bar through the anti-roll bar at the top and the the aperture on the hub upright at the bottom,with new bushes and cup washers etc, there's no room left at the top and bottom to get the nuts on - the new bushes are too fat to allow this.

I'm guessing that maybe this needs to be done once the car is back on its wheels with the weight of the car compressing the bushes etc, but still a bit confused abut this.

Any advice would be warmly welcomed. Hopefully (probably) a simple solution.
