My AJ16 coupe makes a knock or clunk usually as i move off after braking to a standstill and sometimes as it comes to rest again usually after heavy braking. no noises evident when on the move. have changed brake pads, front wheel bearings, antiroll bar links and rear gearbox mounting.
any body out there suffered from this?

From your description it sounds as though the rear trailing/radius arm bushes are shot - a common problem.
The arms are prone to corrosion so it's worth changing the whole thing. Complete with bushes fitted they're about £100.00 each from a number of suppliers. You may wish to specify OEM if still available.
