Both my front springs have broken and I am having no luck finding any new or used Front Springs for my 4.0Ltr Facelift model, Chassis No.196494, It has the Sports pack (green) front shocks and springs fitted at present. Can anyone offer any advice with finding replacements or suitable alternative fitments, for example would the Aston Martin DB7 front springs fit?

Black Country Jaguar managed to find me a correct original pair of 4.0Ltr sport springs that I will fit over the Christmas period.

For those interested the free length of these is 278mm.

The good news is that Jaguar Classic parts say that they are scheduled to start producing these springs mid 2009, however if anyone is considering having some of these springs made up in the near future I have a copy of the drawing with the specifications for these springs curtisy of the JDHT Classic Parts.

DB7 springs do fit but it depends if they've got the right spring rate for you

I think Brian Stevens (ex ClassiCats) had sets of DB7 springs available a while ago at very good prices. It might be worth ringing Brian for a chat anyway as he has a wealth of knowledge re XJS suspension setup.
