Steering Rack Parts

I have failed the MOT due to excessive play in the Inner Ball Joint. I need a replacement tie rod and inner ball joint for a 1993 convertible Vin 185705. Lots of complete reconditioned racks are available but not he parts. Does anyone have any ideas where I could get these patrs?

the part no, JLM409, is available from Jaguar.

You can find it on the classic parts website.

Many thanks for your prompt response. I have found the site and part but at £78 +vat + post for one side only it may be better for me to buy a completely reconditioned rack which I have seen advertised at £150 inc VAT. ( Exchange item)

Not sure a refirb rack will give you all the parts you need and to be honest if yours is ok then it's a waste of £150.

Try David Manner who do pattern parts if you don't want to splash out on Jag prices (personnally I try to get Jag parts but I know cost is a big thing

).

Dont be put off by price but try and buy the best you can afford, it's a heavy old car to lug around.
