Sat Nav

I have S Type SE 2.7d I am wanting to fit sat nav i have bought the head unit for the console , so now looking for the DVD Module Player and i am told i will need Climate Module as well also the cable from front to boot to connect all three up . Can anyone advise and maybe tell me where i can get the other goods to complete the set up.

Hi Koiden...Have you looked into all the reviews of this system and the possibility of not being able to upgrade the Maps in the future, I am aware that a 2011-12 update Disc is available just now and as the X Type, S Type and XJ (old) all used the Denso type DVD Discs in the Boot Loader, all Cars which are no longer in production, I'm just not sure if any further DVD's will be produced, perhaps someone else could confirm or add to that. The other point is that the system and Maps generally are not as good as the Tom-Tom or Garmin units, it just seems that you would be going to a whole load of expense and far too much work in man hours to justify the benefits, you may even have to change the DCCV to under Dash Wiring Loom and Plugs to accomodate the change from one Climate Circuit Board to another, which are located in two different places.

Hmm That last post has got me thinking thanks for the feedback will have to weigh it up , has any one out there done the nav fit and thought it's been worth it .

Doug is right about the quality of the built in sat nav. I have one in my car but I find that the Tom Tom is better.
I wouldn,t go to the trouble or expense to fit one into your car.
