You have me foxed with this querie. To my knowledge and having consulted a Jaguar overview on the S-type, the only audio cabling accessable for a CD unit is on the nearside of the boot compartment. All S-types I have owned have the Jaguar CD player linked to this wiring.

I wonder if the reason you wish to install a glove box CD player is because the radio/cd control on the dash does not have a CD slot incorporated? I know this is a little frustrating as it requires loading the player in the boot when you want to change a disc. I think you may have to live with this odity as to install a different unit into the car "electrical architecture" is going to be a long, difficult and extremely expensive operation.

It is curious why Jaguar installed a tape player in the dash when the trend even back in 1999 was definately towards the CD as a norm. A CD slot would have been a much better idea. Ten years on from 1999, I can`t remember when I last used an audio tape. I suppose things have moved rapidly since the car audio was first conceived.
