Replacement fuel tank

Hello all

I am in desperate need of a replacement fuel tank for my 1988 XJS V12 Convertible.

My current one has the common damage to the bottom. SNG Barratt do not have any. Jaguar Classic appear to have some but I am waiting to check if it’ll fit my car.

Does anyone else have any suggestions? I’m due to go to France in it next week so time is of the essence.

Hi - to find and fit one in such a short time I would suggest trying to find a used one. Simply Performance have a few listed on eBay. Why not give them a call.

Jaguar are not advertising any available for pre-facelift models. Have you considered using a sealing product to resolve your existing tank?

Unfortunately the ones simply performance have are in need of full refurbishment and in a worse state than mine.

Paul - do you know of any suitable products? I think that might be only only choice, even if it’s temporary.

Also POR15 do a Fuel tank Sealant + other prep products. Have a look at Frost's website for an example. You may find the products cheaper on Amazon or eBay.
