Boot Lock Puzzle

Dear All
You may remember that whilst at Cadwell Park not only did my new rear number plate fall off never to be found, but also the boot lock barrel came out with the key when I tried to lock it :?
No problem thought I, out with the CD Rom and there it is, "Kit-Lock Repair". A phone call to HA Fox and miracle! Jaguar still stock it at £40.
Within a couple of days it's in my hand.
Now you, like me may have expected to receive a new lock with a couple of keys..Oh No. What I have got is a "new lock" in all its constituent parts, springs, tumblers, clips, pins, roundy bits, and so on. I think the idea is to build a new lock to fit your existing key, only one drawback, NO INSTRUCTION SHEET!
Obviously the service manual doesn't cover this (to ME) obscure operation. I haven't dared to even open the packet in case I lose some of the fiddly bits :? HA Fox are trying to track down the relevent sevice instruction but no luck to date.
SO Does anyone have any guidance or even better a sheet of instructions :?:
NB They thoughtfully include a nice sachet of grease.
Here's Hoping

My suggestion is is take it to your local locksmith shop, one of the 'old fashioned' sort if you know what I mean (rather than one staffed by spotty-faced teenagers in a shopping centre who also resole shoes), I know when I took this kind of job to one it made a change for them instead of the usual cutting keys.

I guess you could gain some experience by doing it yourself, you'd probably want to dismantle a yale front door lock and practice on that to see the principle of all the springs and tumblers where they go.
