rear qtr glass fitment

has anybody fitted these qtr glass back into car tried weekend found it very difficult to install any tips or ideas i have new seals.

i found the best way was to string the glass and rubber in together, the last corner will be difficult though

i used electrical wire ( 2.5 stranded core ) as i didn't have para-chord , but it worked well , i also used this on the rear screen

push the wire into the channel that the bodywork will fit into in the rubber once it is on the glass while applying a small amount of lubricant ( washing up liquid or such like ) making the two loose ends meet in the bottom middle, then offer up the window to the car sitting the bottom edge over the bodywork lip to start with with the wires hanging inside the car , using a circular motion gently pull the wire out wiggling the rubber seal over the bodywork lip , patience and caution are the best way to proceed , i did this by myself , but it would help for someone to be on the outside gently pushing on the glass to keep the tension on it , when you get to a corner, simply carry one but be aware of the extra material that needs to be pulled through , so maybe apply a little more lubricant , carry on until the wire is fully removed, and then firmly bang the glass to set the rubber in the bodywork ,

once happy with that, i applied a windscreen sealant on the outside by pumping it between the glass and the rubber, and wipe away the excess , i didn't use any sealant between the rubber and the body except on the inside that won't be seen as trim covers it, but thats up to you ,

remember, the chrome trims need to be in place before you do this ,

and on the inside , there is a rubber lip on the window rubber that sits over the rear quarter trim once fitted, this is the finishing touch
