xjs pre he early rear bumper

hi everyone hope somebody out there can help with a small problem i need clarification of with the rear rubber bumper cover of my early xjs.
1. according to my 1978 parts book there is a first type bumper and a second type bumper, the first type which i assume is mine as mine is a 1975 build car chassis number 19 is bd46715 and seems to have no side supports aau3050/3051 for the rubber sides on each qtr lower panel and seem shorter in this areas what supports this area? or is the rubber bumper shorter.
2. second type bumper bd48264 seems to have threaded holes either end of rubber bumper that a disc is threaded into which then slots onto the 2 brackets aau3050/51 each side to support the rubber my book is 1978 does anyone have a 1975 parts book to check for me as there are no support brackets attached to my qtr wings but they have been replaced although i do have a pair but see no point in fitting them if they were never fitted originally i am trying to keep car as close to original as poss any help thanks

I have just finished (well just about) a 76 pre he and it had slide brackets on the 1/4s but the new panels didnt and i had to re-fit them. All the rubber bumpers i have have a pin for the brackets and are the same length.
