Had the misfortune to have a white van clip my rear the other day. Damage visually minimal and basically the nearside (LH) rear bumper blade. Mine is an early face-lift. Am I right in believing that this item is the same piece of metal as found on the later pre-facelift (early 80's to 1990) models.
Also has anyone been able to effect a repair without having to remove the entire bumper in order to replace this part (I imagine getting the whole bumper off might be hard going).
Lastly, does anyone have one or know of the whereabouts. Any info greatly appreciated.

You are right it is the same as the last of the pre face lift - in fact very different to 93 0n cars. You don't need to remove the complete bumper, the sides can be accessed from the boot ( behind carpet) - 3 bolts which you will probably sheer. As for finding replacement sometimes ebay or the next Jag spares day if you are lucky.
