Hello everyone,
I have a small area of rust near the right bottom corner of my rear window. The car is a '93 facelift couple (4.0l manual). In these the boot lid opens all the way to the base of the window and the rust is the area beneath this (effectively the rear bulkhead) and so can only be seen on opening the boot. The visible external rust is not too bad but I can get my hand behind the trim and some feel flaking behind.
I am aware of how bad rust around the front windscreen can be, just not sure about this area and how worried I should/should not be.
Any thoughts/advice much appreciated,
Tom

Re: Corrosion around rear window
I presume yours is the earlier design which has the chrome - from what I have picked up these are a right pain to remove and refit so best left to a specialist who has the experience in working on these. I don't expect it to be as bad as the front which can be terrible but likely yours is leaking so better to get it fixed sooner rather than later.
