Replacement mudflaps

I'm looking for new mudflaps for my XJ-S. The front kit was JLM9773 & rear JLM10673. A google search shows they are both discontinued but I'm really struggling to find any used either.

The rear mudflaps are the main worry as I've just cleaned the car myself for the first time in twenty years (plenty of time due to lockdown). I've noticed that one of them has blue paint on it as it was not removed when painting the corners! Then the perpetrator has tried to repaint it black to disguise the bodge! You couldn't make it up.

Does anybody have any mudflaps for sale or know of where I could find some?

As an alternative does anybody know if mudflaps from any other model could be used in a pinch? The rear mudflaps for the Series 3 look pretty similar to me and you can still get those.

I have an unused JLM 10673 rear set, still in their original (but very dusty) plastic bag, but not the front set. Send me a personal message if you're interested.

Hi all

Got some rear mudflaps from Paul and they're great.

My front set should clean up ok they're grubby rather than damaged - it was really the rear I was concerned about.

I wish I'd started using the forums years ago they're a great help - now a big fan!

An important thing to remember with mudflaps is to avoid reversing up over a kerbstone - it tends to trap the flap between the wheel and kerb, which rips the flap off and bends the bodywork at the attachment points. But the do keep a lot of grot off the bottom of the rear valence.

I know this is an older thread now but its such a great example of how we help each other on the forum that I'd like to use it in the magazine.
What would make it better is if I could get some photos. Any chance?
