Thanks

Hi - not quite sure which piece you are trying to replace - can you post a photo?
The only Haynes manual for the XJS is for the early V12 and won't be much use. Try the Club shop for a Repair Operation Manual on CD.

Hi
It is the rubber/plastic piece between the chrome windscreen surround and the scuttle. I believe it is to prevent the chrome trim rubbing the paint.

Sonic!!!!!

It's part number BEC17446 and is NLA. You'll have to find 2 x secondhand bits or else make some from some rubber / plastic.

As regards workshop manuals, there's been a problem for some years on the production of the CDRoms. So, have a look through ebay for a use one. The part number for a 4 litre XJS CDRom is JHM1143.

Good luck

I had two lengths fitted when I replaced my w/screen in 2016 and AFAIK BEC17446 is still available (as an aftermarket suppliers part) - it is listed with SNGB and DMG.

PTJS1 may have more up to date info than I but it would be worth checking with the usual suppliers before resorting to used/made up parts.

Good luck.

Thanks for this - I've been looking for this part for a year but couldn't find it.

Armed with the part code I've ordered it from Barratt's easily.
