xjs facelift, wiper chamber/tray/plenum/

Hi there. Should there be 3 exits from the wiper chamber or just the 2 ? 2 drain pipes at the bottom, and an air intake at the top ?
Its not clear to me, whether the hole I have at the top of the chamber, is an air intake hole with a crusty edge, or an entirely new, rusty hole...

technically , there are 7 holes for the air system in the plenum

one large hole that has the wiper motor mechanism / air intake grille

under that the plenum is divided into two and at the bottom are the two drain holes into the engine bay , , one air entry hole at the top of each side goes into the ' box section ' , and mounted to the bottom of this in the car is the air duct for the ventilation system , with a foam doughnut for a seal ,

there shouldn't be anything that's ' rusty '
