Coachlines for Solent Bue V12?

We're almost done with the mechanical part of the restore of my '89 V12 Coupé.
A respray's will be the logical next step, and is quite necessary with the amount of laquer peel the car is suffering from:

Next step after the respray is re-applying the coachlines, and that's where I can do with some help...

Question 1: what is the colour name of the coachline they applied?
Had a quick look at JCP and it must be either Gunmetal or Oyster...
Gunmetal seems the most likely candidate, but I want to be really sure before I order!

Question 2: not all individual coachlines (in Gunmetal nor Oyster) are available anymore. Which is not a big surprise, I ran into the same issue with my XJ40 a while ago. Is there an aftermarket alternative or does anyone still have some NOS stashed away somewhere?

Many thanks!!

Time to try again...

The XJ-S will be sent off to the bodyshop for a full respray later this month.
Ideally I want them to take care of the coach lines as well, when they're at it...

Who can help me with the colour coding & coachline availability questions I posted a while ago?

Hi Pim - several suggestions
First have you tried the Jaguar Classic Parts site? You may get lucky!
Second - eBay is always worth a trawl
Third - you could get a set made up by a vehicle sign writing firm - I'd suggest taking plenty of pictures before the car goes into the paint shop
Hope that helps

thanks, David!

Some deeper digging on US Jaguar forums revealed that my US market V12 should have Oyster coachlines.

I just checked again and JCP had all of the stickers, except for the LH front.
I tried alternative colours. A similar story: most stickers available, but one or two NLA.
In other words: incomplete sets and therefore useless for my full respray scenario.

I finally found one positive exception: the only full set available is in Goldleaf.
Will have to sleep on it, though: I'm not convinced those will look right on the Solent Blue surface... :?:

Your suggested Plan C may be the only way out: a bespoke set of stickers.
Or perhaps just a recreation of the missing LH front sticker and gamble on a decent-ish colour match between OEM and bespoke?
I'll take plenty of pictures AND measurements before I hand it over to the paint shop, that's for sure!
