Does anyone have experience of the deflectors supplied by Adamesh and by Classic Additions. I'm thinking of getting one for my Celebration convertible before my next trip to France.

I've had one of the Classic Additions ones for about 3 years. Overall, I've been pleased with it.
The only real problem lies with the design of the mounting brackets. It utilises two brackets which are permanently mounted to the seatbelt top mounting plate. Removing the trim panel is a bit of a pain. You have to be careful not to break the little plastic press studs that hold the trim to the B-post. The mounting brackets themselves must have been originally designed for the early convertibles, and didn't fit well on the late convertibles such as ours. Some owners cut a small curve out of the chrome trim that surrounds the hole where the belt protrudes. I found that I could avoid this by removing a plate that is mounted above the seatbelt mounting captive nut. This enabled me to fit the brackets without butchering the trim. Classic Additions then redesigned the fixing brackets and sent me a replacement set. I don't know if this alleviates the fitting problem or not as I have never got around to fitting them. I might now do that as this post has reminded me that I've got them!
I took a couple of photos when I first fitted the deflector. If you drop me an em, I'll forward you the pics so you can see how I mounted the brackets.
Don't be put off by what I've said. The deflector itself is well built and certainly does the job that I expected. When fitted it obviously precludes you from taking passengers, but when was the last time you did that, anyway!
Hope that helps.

Thanks for your speedy response Paul.
The current fitting instructions do mention removing that plate that you referred to so hopefully it should now fit ok apart from the trim problems.
Fortunately I'm only 20 minutes away from their place in Shropshire so I'm going to have a look this week.
Cheers
Tom

Fiitted a Classic Additions to my 1995 Convertible. Does a good job although their fitting kit leave a bit to be desired and had to change certain parts for dome bolts & allen screws to make it work properly but I am told they are working on it.

I had a deflector fitted by Classic Additions the week before I headed to France and everything worked extremely well.
Their latest fitting kit was not designed for the Celebration convertible and mine was the first one they had 'fiddled' with.
It only required a little bending of the brackets and all was OK.
As a matter of interest, Adamesh and Classic Additions appear to be the same company.

Tom,
I wonder if you can give us a bit more info re Classic Additions saying that the latest fitting kit was not designed for the Celebration Convertible.
All convertibles from 1991 have the same seat belt mounting setup, and all 2+2 Convertibles from 1994 - 1996 have all the same trim panels as well. So, there's no difference between a Celebration Convertible and an earlier one.
In my experience, although the wind deflector itself is a nice product, I just think the fitting brackets are never really ideal and often seem to need a bit of fettling. If you've been told by them that it wasn't "designed for a Celebration Convertible", I think they are fobbing you off. Ask them to give me a ring and I'll happily have a discussion with them!

I fitted the Classic Addition deflector about 8 years ago, still going well, but have to agree about the brackets. I cannot remember exactly what I did to get them to fit, did not remove the plate above the seat belt nut, but I think I ended up fitting the brackets 180 degrees around from the fitting drawing, anyway it seemed to have worked.

I fitted a Classic Additions windeflctor to my '95 Convertible and am very pleased with it
I changed their hand screwed fixing nuts to Dome headed and allans screws as I could not get a solid fixing with the items they supplied. It now does not move with the wind.
