CHEAP NEW GENUINE Jaguar Trim,.....!!!!!!

Postby glenn1411 » Sun Jun 24, 2007 8:03 am

I cant see a forum for Trim so i will post this bit of info here
after exchanging E-mails with a couple of forum members it would appear that not many members are aware of the following,
i found an excellent source for genuine jaguar trim parts on E-Bay,....
the sellers name is BAYWATCH1003, and there are three seperate shops under his name , The Jaguar Trim Shop, Wolfies Jaguar Spares, and The Jaguar Sport Shop, WELL WORTH A LOOK, It would appear the owner of this buisness bought Jaguars ENTIRE Trim Stock some 10 years ago when Jaguar changed their policy TO ONLYmaking items of trim ,once they received a dealer order. the value of the stock im told was 6 million pounds worth,...the chap has it stored in containers and drips it out only on E-bay as far as i can assertain, here is an example of what i bought.
i own a 1981 :D XJ-S H.E. and i bought 2 new door casings @ £89.00 each,!!
plus postage on "buy it Now" i know for a FACT the Jaguar price for this item is £260.00 each,!! i also bought 2 door pockets to go with them
@ £52.00 each,!! plus postage, again" Buy it Know" they quote correct Jaguar part numbers for these items too,!! the service was BRILLIANT i had them within one working day,!! it was like a trip back in time the packages were wrapped in the ORIGINAL British Leyland cardboard boxes, then....inside that they were sealed in a heavy Duty plastic black bag....then wrapped in brown paper,!!! ABSOLUTELY MINT,!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
they had never seen the light of day since they were made,.!! brilliant, i delt with a gentlmen called Mark, who was exceptional,..and would reccommend this company to anyone searching for Trim there is LOADS OF IT LEFT,..!! new parts too including an XjS and CONVERTIBLE BODYSHELL,.!! well worth a look you wont be disapointed, hope this is of help to others
kind regards
Glenn

P.S. the company is somewhere in the midlands.

Thanks for the info Glenn,
I'll have a browse myself.

It took me a while to find the right pages, so just to save anyone time in finding the seller here are a few links.

Not trim related as such, but a useful tool for ebay is:
www.fatfingers.co.uk
I've had a few bargains in the past because the listers had written their adverts with mis-spellings such as Jagaur and Jaquar etc. No-one else bidded as the items never matched the correct spelling. :D

Tks for the post, Glenn.

Just to clarify, there are some really good deals to be had here, particularly on some the non-available trim parts. However, it isn't a Jaguar policy to only get trim sourced when a dealer places an order. The reality is that most of the older XJS trim stock was sold off to reduce stock levels. There are some trim parts available still new from Jaguar stock but the option of parts and colours is now very, very limited. Also, it is very unlikely that trim parts such as seats and door trims will be remanufactured as they are not fast-moving parts and the business economics don't really stack up. So traders such as this one on ebay are often the only option for genuine parts.

The other thing is that if you find that Jaguar Classic Parts do have an expensive trim part in stock, it's always worth trying to make them an offer. They may well be interested, particularly if it's an item which doesn't sell frequently.
