BEC17245LFJ
I have been offered a new headlining part number BEC17245LFJ
for my car but need to know if it is the right part for my June 94 XJS convertible 2+2 with AJ16.
How can I tell?
Thanks, Gordon

The part number (BEC17245) according to Classic Parts would fit
"XJS (From (V)179737 Up to (V)226645)"
and
"XJS (From (V)139052 up to (V)179736)"
That is all of them I think!
The trim code (LFJ) part isn't listed.
Go here JCP and type the part number into the search box for confirmation.
Hope it helps

Gordon,
See if you can find out if the headlining is uncut ie that it is necessary to cut out the recess for the rear window.
The reason I say that is, as mentioned, Jaguar Classic Parts quote the same part number for early and late convertibles. But 2+2 convertibles have a smaller rear window. Therefore, unless the headlining is sold uncut for the rear window, it can not be the same for early and late convertibles.
If you can get a photo, then you'll see if the lining is precut for the window or not.
Also, be warned that fitting a headlining can be quite a complex job. You lterally have to cut out the old one from the hood frames as it is glued in!
Good luck with whatever you decide.
