Jaguar remote app

HI, My Jaguar remote app will not let me start the car from inside the house, when I try to activate the climate start the app messages that the car is not secure, even though the car is locked and all the windows and and the sunroof is closed. This function used to work ok and has suddenly started giving this message. Any ideas?

My Jaguar app behaved similarly at the end of the warranty period. Some functions remained active for a few weeks after the 'free' subscription expired and eventually, Jaguar turned off access to the app. Could this be the problem? Mike.

I have the remote App for the Range Rover Sport - same functionality as the Jaguar version from the sister company. There are a whole raft of additional subscriptions to fork out for once the car passes 3-years old. InControl, Navigation, SIM, etc. to name just a few. The cost of these subscriptions is not insubstantial so you need to decide if they are necessary (Tracker equivalent) or nice to have (Remote starting)!

Assuming you are still in the subscription time, try deleting and reinstalling the app, I have had to do that a couple of times, usually starts working again then.

Thanks Andy, yes I am still in subscription, most of the app is still working, its just the climate part not working, I have already tried deleting and reinstalling the app with no success. I will give it another go.

Is the App communicating properly with the car and showing 'Contacted Just Now'? If the internet connection gets lost at either end then it can show false data.

Yes, the app is communicating with the vehicle, it is giving me car location, fuel level, mileage, it is showing all journeys with details and I can lock and unlock the vehicle. The only part not working is the the engine start for climate. It gives me the message car not secure even though it is locked and alarmed with wiindows and sun roof closed.
