Another bearing failure

Having reported the failed wheel bearing on my 2Litre F Pace I can now report a failed half shaft bearing on my 3 Litre S version. Remedial work was carried out under warranty, but I assume poor quality parts have been used during manufacture.

For interest, I have had wheel bearing failures on my last 3 jags, 3.0 V6 S-type SE 1999, 2.7TD S-type 2005, 3.0TD XF 2009, all front bearings.
Seems Jaguar are using the same supplier, for at least the last 21 years plus!

S-type, X350/8 and XF models all share the same suspension, hubs etc.

In my experience you will need to replace front wheel bearings on those models by the time 70k miles arrives. I`ve taken to buying after market hub bearings because I don`t believe they are any worse than Jaguar badged and boxed OE parts. £40 should buy a new after-market bearing/hub often stated to be OE spec. I`ve never experienced any issues with them.

I`m unsure if the more modern Jaguar products also share those same bearings. Perhaps someone can advise.
