Vacuum pipes

Hi, can anyone point me in the direction of a diagram for the vacuum pipes on a '80 P digital car please? I've not used the car in 6 months and all I'm getting is massive heat regardless of the dial setting. I've noticed a pipe from the control valve that goes into the bulkhead with part of the loom high up on the passangers side which doesn't look too clever so I'm guessing this is the problem but I'd like to change all the pipe work as its now 40 years old and bound to give me grief in the future. Hi johnk - can I suggest that you get yourself a copy of the Repair Operation Manual? I think that will be a great help to you as you recommission your car.
Paper copies are available from the Club Shop but they can also be found on CD online.
For this specific fault, I would look to see if the heater valve on the bulkhead is closing properly. Firstly, is it getting vacuum and if so does it shut off the flow of hot coolant properly?
