1995 Celebration top vents always blowing cold air

The top vents (centre and side) always blow cold air, irrespective of the temperature set. The footwell and rear seat vents change from cold to warm OK, along with the temperature knob setting, and the blowers are working fine. The compressor is OK (replaced last year, owing to a leak) and the cold air is really cold when the AC is on. It sounds like a flap problem, but how to access? Can you pull off the walnut trim around the centre vent? I've inspected behind the footwell covers, but can't see anything obvious to tweak! Any advice gratefully received.

Is the slide switch by the stereo that varies the face level temperature working correctly?

As the old joke goes "If the slider doesn't seem to do anything, then it's working perfectly" . I've never met anyone who claims to detect an effect !

As for the sorting out your problem, I'm sorry, no useful hints.

My slider works perfectly, so there.

The actuator for the top vent is located on the right hand side of the unit, above the electronic control unit.

You may be able to access it if you take the cheek panel off and look upwards.

Sometimes exercising the flap/servo can bring things back to life.

Some joy! After a lot of exercising of the flaps, particularly putting it through the 'demist' cycle, some warm air has started to emerge from the face vents. It's not yet fully reliable though, but I'm hoping that continued use will sort it out. Thanks again for the help. Now another problem, the radios gone dead....another post!

I don't think you'll ever get fully hot air from the face level vent in the centre although it should be possible to get it from the end vents. My memory is a trifle vague but I think the design only allowed for blend air (mix of heated and cooled air) to come from that.
