Signing in

Unlike other XE Forums, I have to 'Sign in' to JEC's every time - even though I've ticked 'Remember me'.
Anyone else get this annoyance?

Yes it's very annoying but apparently the 'remember me' only lasts for about 7 hours, unlike every other site I frequent! This is supposedly for 'security reasons'. Hmmmm....

I always log out after my visit for security reasons. This is something my IT dept., always said we should do when on internet sites.
However, the pain is that each time there is no log out button or log in button on the home screen so you have to go to your 'manage account' page etc. to undertake the activity. I thought from another answer given on another thread that this was to be changed but that was some months ago and seems and easy fix to make.

I am also someone who ‘logs out’ after every session and am quite happy to be ‘logged out’ if I forget to do so. It is just good security procedure but I can understand how being ‘logged out’ can bug those who like to remain logged on permanently.

I do agree with Paul that the ‘log off’ procedure should be available on the primary screen and I do recall that this change was requested and promised to be added to the ‘to do’ list some time ago.

Just checked. James was looking at the logout procedure with the developers April 2nd..........

I spoke with James about these issues this morning. He assures me that our concerns are not being avoided and work is in hand. No time scale offered for completion though.
