I might regret it but I have decided to sell my rare manual red F-type. I have owned it for about 2yrs and it has a full Jaguar service record. Since owning it I have fitted new brace struts and a new rear exhaust box. Derek Mathewson the owner of classic auctions in Thornton le Dale judged it to be the best at a bonnets up meeting recently. Only about 3% of F-types built between 2015 & 2020 had a manual gearbox. In my opinion the manual give a better all round driving experience than the auto version. In dynamic mode you can switch the exhaust noise levels to a level that suits your neighbours.
I have had the engine covers hydro dipped + changed the bonnet vents to carbon fibre. The origin vents allowed direct sunlight on the engine cover which eventually gave them a dull colour. My conversion has stopped that problem. No offers please.

Hi cabriolet.
What a lovely looking car  .
I wouldn't of thought you'd have any trouble selling it,especially with the manual gearbox.
Keep us updated with the sale if you don't mind.
Good luck and take care.

At this moment I have only advertised my car in the JEC community and asked Listers (Jaguar) for a quote. I expected a low offer from Listers and this was £22k without seeing the car. A person called Raj sent me a one line offer of £23k which I obviously refused. I hate the selling process but what makes me feel better is to pass your car to someone with the same passion as you have felt with owning the car. Selling my car to a person that makes an offer without seeing it will not happen. I am going to the JEC show at Newby Hall and I would love to sell it to someone that appreciates the Jaguar brand. When I sold my 1983 XJ-SC cabriolet I spoke to the guy on the phone + met him with his wife and they were so enthusiastic it made me feel good about the sale. Not sure why I went for a dealer quote as you know it is going to be low, but I was looking for a starting point with the process. I bought this car from Listers and since then I have improved this car by fitting new brace struts and a new exhaust backbox which at a cost of about £3.2k. Unfortunately Jaguar 165 point check does not show these kind of issues up before buying. This car only goes to classic car shows (being a JEC member) but now family health is an issue, so sadly the car has to go. To sum up no one line offers only enthusiastic people who want to talk direct to me.

Judging by recent car auction results, the market has taken fright or some might say 'made a correction' downwards from the unusual highs seen during the past couple of years. It's probably the effect of the recent political instability grafted onto the annual downward trend in prices seen every autumn/winter and may make sales of collectible/interesting cars more difficult. Mike.

Had an obvious scam as the so called buyer sent weird message “send picture what’s your lowest price”. I answered this by asking for a telephone No and address location. Got a reply stating price is good want to pay by cheque with a description how safe this is. No questions about the condition of the car so at this point I have blocked this person.

Regarding scammer attacks on the JEC Classifieds posts, please see the thread I have started in the Club Comment section. The scam artist who came to you looks suspiciously like the same one who came looking for me. Crazy.

When I have posted parts for sale on JEC the reaction is usually quite quick and their response sometimes is not clever use of the English language. This is not saying that I am good at it. The sad thing is I am looking for the scam straight away as apposed to the good feeling you get when a person is interested in your car.
