Windscreen washer drained

After a 50 mile trip, I parked up and then noticed that the water from the reservoir decided to empty ! It dripped continually for c 1 hour from the bottom of rear edge of the offside front wheel arch. Inevitably when a drove off I had a warning light saying”water reservoir empty”.
I assume a connection has come loose.
Car is a MY2018 V6 Coupe.
Any thoughts ?
Car is due a service in July, so may just wait for the indie garage to sort it.

Any reservoir can split and leak, although it's not a common failure mode. The F-type screenwash reservoir has several openings for its pumps and the low level sensor plus the filler tube. Each of the lower openings is sealed with a grommet. Consequently, other than displacement of the filler tube, failure of a grommet would be one of the simplest failure modes. Also for investigation would be the pumps themselves (one for the screen, the other for the headlamps) plus the pipes leading from the reservoir to the jets, ensuring they remain attached. Mike.

Resolved at service, the front washer reservoir tank had fractured, so had to be replaced.

Thanks for the update. It's always good to know the outcomes of these queries. It helps to demonstrate the types of failures we are all likely to suffer. Mike.
