No more pop and bangs!

I have only recently purchased a 2015 F-Type and I am sure when I test drove it, I heard the previable 'popping and banging' from the exhaust. However, I had the car taken back to the Jaguar dealer and had a new exhaust & actuators fitted as there were issues with the existing rear silencer box. Since then, I am unable to get the 'popping and banging' in the Dynamic mode. Does anyone know whether this is as a result of a software change or is it the new silencers been modified by Jaguar, so as not to be as loud?
Re: No more pop and bangs!
Doug,
There is a myriad of internet comment on this issue. Jaguar have definitely introduced software revisions which have revised the nice noises from the early F-Type.
Go back to the Dealer and be really insistent on whether they updated the software. If so, maybe ask them to reverse that. This can be extremely hard to get them to agree to it. But one guy in the US seemed to eventually get a result after months of arguing with JLR.
Good luck
Paul

Thanks Paul, as the dealership is over 300 miles there and back, I’m not likely to do that.
Re: No more pop and bangs!
Doug,
Perhaps at least ask them to absolutely confirm what software updates were applied whilst they had the car?
At least you'll know that's probably the cause.

Good idea, I’ll do that.
Re: No more pop and bangs!
Dealer has indicated that no software updates where done. I wonder whether the new rear end exhaust fitted by them has been modified since the introduction of the F-Type so as not to be s noisy?
Re: No more pop and bangs!
Not heard of any major mods to the silencers, but an update K309 could have been applied to <2017 models which reduced the pops and bangs. I believe this was reversible via a patch JTB495 on the 2015/16 . Ask the dealer if K309 or if H239 have been applied (there are3 H239 updates, of which V1 defaults the car back to normal mode on startup (i.e. forgets dynamic if this was set on shutting down).

Alternatively talk to a tuner such as Viezu who might be able to remap the car back to as it was
