AJ6 Engine Rebuild old or buy Re-Con

Hi,
I have a 1989 3.6 Manual which has only done about 30,000 miles.
I have owned it for over 10 years and I am the 2nd owner. I managed to hole one of the pistons a few years ago and as a 'quick fix' put a used engine (with approx 100,000 miles) with the existing ancillaries. Unfortunately, it suffers from the blue puff of smoke at start-up but not noticeable at over-run. Although, oil pressure is a little on the low side so probably needs new rings..etc
My question is: Should I rebuild the old engine (it has 30,000 miles)? Note that I cannot do it myself as I don't have the space and probably not enough experience. And if so, can anyone recommend anywhere around the South West of England (incl Gloucestershire / Wiltshire)?
Or should I try and buy a new / recond motor and again any recommendations?
Many thanks.
