V12 head puller

Postby bokapita » Tue Sep 25, 2012 12:43 pm

Does the club have a V12 head puller for hire? If not, does anyone know where I can find one to hire or buy?

Don't know about the club (the link to the tools page is broken again) but Grublogger makes them to order:

Sadly, Grublogger do not actually offer this service any more. I spoke with them about two months ago, and the website is out of date. Thank you for trying to help.

hello, I have looked through the toolhire section, we do not seem to have for hire the bit of kit you need, however a quick call to Annie Jenkins at Tools and Spares will help you a bit more, Annie is on 01909 733209, toolsandspares@jec.org.uk

the toolhire section of the website appear fine, but the "special tools" link does appear broken, I will let the office know now

Hi Rob and Al,
What systems are you using to access the Club shop. I have accessed tool hire and specialist tools this morning using three computers, no problem.
A windows XP using Google Chrome, IE7 and IE8.
A windows 7 using Google Chrome, Opera and firefox.
Blackberry, using their operating system and google.

If you could let me know what the issues are and what browsers and operating systems we can look into why you have no success accessing particular pages.

Regards

James

IE8 Windows XP.

Clicking on the link to special tools produces 'Internet Explorer cannot display the Webpage'

The page it's linking to appears to be http://www.jec.org.uk/shop/67/tools.html

Can confirm Windows 7 and Firefox connects to and opens the link my end as at 10.35pm, 26/0/2012. However exiting from the pages was very slow.

Hi all,
Just to update. We have looked into the problem which seems to exist purely in 3 sections on the Tools and Spares.
There does appear to be a loading issue. The website as a whole has an average page loading time of 1.5 seconds (Very quick), those three sections average 25 seconds at present.
Our resident Guru is looking into it, and we hope that sometime very soon we will have this problem solved. This process will take a short time, but we are aware and will solve it in the near future.
In the mean time, thank you for your patience.

Hi,
The Club certainly advertised a puller many years ago.
When you do find one ,would be very interested as to how the job went, I have heard tales of woe.
