I have recently accuired a Budgerigar at the front of the engine. Upon taking advice I have sprayed WD40 behind the Alternator and A/C pulleys but to no effect. This is the AJ16 4.0 Celebration model. The noise is becoming embarrasing so any offers as to what cure will be gratefully received. Thank you.

I had what I think might be the same problem with my Celebration - it turned out to be the air con belts in the engine. This might be what you are experiencing - you can ascertain this by turning the air con on full and the noise should increase - I had it sorted at the same time as my last service was carried out so wasn't directly involved in sorting it though.

It could be a number of things from a glazed belt through to worn bearings on the water pump, air con or alternator.
One cheap way that you can eliminate some of the potential causes is to use a spray belt dressing on the belts - Comma market one that is fairly readily available from Halfords etc.
Good luck

could be the bearing on the a/c compressor clutch - mine is doing the same. I will be looking into what a new bearing costs or whether it is easier to get a replacement clutch assembly

My thanks to all for your input. Further investigation revealed that the culprit was a shiny A/C belt impersonating the bird.
