Wondering whether to fit an updated CPS to my 4 litre AJ6 engined coupe 1994. Has anyone fitted the one which advances the ignition 5 degrees and what was the effect. Is it worthwhile ?
The car is run on Shell V-Power.
Is this the best way to tickle it up a bit - or are there any better fixes.

Just to clarify, the advancement of the ignition by 5 degrees is done using one of Andy Stodarts brackets, not by changing the CPS. You use your existing CPS and just put it on the new bracket.
I have one of Andy's brackets but haven't fitted it as yet. If you head over to the X300 section, I'm sure there are a number of posts there of members who have fitted te revised bracket. Alternatively, just drop Rob Jenner a line who has fitted a number of them in his cars.

The bracket worked well on my X300 AJ16 Daimler Six; slightly improved performance and economy.

I used one of Andy's brackets on my AJ16 engined XJS Celebration and it made a noticeable improvement I would recommend it.
