Hi Everyone,
I'm excited to introduce myself and the new lady in my life! I'm Scott, and I live in East Leake, Near Nottingham. I'm originally from Scotland with a long list of sports cars to my name since my first MGB in 1976!! I'm now the proud owner of MY2018 F-Type R V8 With only 11000 miles on the clock and enjoying the raw power of 550BHP. Looking forward to meeting many of you over the next few months.
What area would you recommend for my location (LE12 6HN) there appears to be a few options from my local
Best
Scott

Hi Scott, welcome to the wonderful world of Jaguar V8 motoring - who needs a radio.
You are fortunate to live in an area that is well served by JEC Regions, so my suggestion would be to get along to as many of those within your reach as possible and see "how they fit". Unfortunately not all of the JEC Regions are created equally - some make a charge for "local" membership, some are very welcoming, some not so much. There is also the question of how far you want to be driving in the cold dark nights ahead to attend a meeting. Of course, if all of the Regions within your reach are "welcoming" and don't have local subscription, there is merit in considering being a part of as many as you wish.
Check out the Regions web pages on this site and get an initial feel for who is active and what they get up to.
Enjoy.

Welcome to the world of Jaguars! As Jim says, try a few local regions by visiting them and seeing what they each do. Some regions are content with a monthly pint and a chat. Others organise visits, meals, runs and even holidays. It's horses for courses. Whatever suits you best will be the way to choose which to frequent the most. Have fun choosing.

Mike.

Welcome to the club. I taught my wife to drive in an MG BGT (very many years ago now) and now we drive a V6 F-TYPE (380 PS). Not quiet your V8.
Please do feel free to contribute to these forums or to the magazine.
I am the F-TYPE Model Section Coordinator and I would encourage you to write in with articles on topics that interest you regaridng your F-TYPE. This could be your experience buying it, trips you are going on / have been on, what its like to drive compared to (any previous vehicle) etc.
My email is
ftype@jecmodels.org.uk - drop me a line and lets get you in the magazine.
