Hi, I am looking for fly screens or wind deflectors, that fitt on the side of the windscreen.
I don't mind if they are not glass.
Any ideas !
I know nostalgia had them but at silly price.
Thanks
Vernon

Try Roger Williams who makes the Suffolk SS100 replica - ad in this months mag. What car are you fitting up - the 120?

Hi Paul,
Not fitting out, I've had the car on the road for 5 years, just thought I would like to reduce the wind when on motorways with the top down.
It's a 120 and have just had the engine re-made (4.2ltr).
Still running in.

These are usually generically known as WIND-WINGS.

LBH Wind Delectors: http://lbhproducts.co.uk/carscreens.htm
I have not used this company personally, but they don't seem to be asking silly money and may be able to produce something to suit your car.

The Wind-Wings fitted to SS100 attach to Tenax type fasteners mounted on the windscreen frame.

http://www.moss-europe.co.uk/ also make Wind-Wings for various British sports cars.

http://www.scparts.co.uk sell them for XK120 & XK140, but for nearly £200!

Hi, I have found a supplier of universal wind wings, for MGA's from Brown & Gammons MG parts.
They look like a good fit, only £59.95 a pair, not purchased them yet, but will do in due course.
Thanks for all your info, will post the results.
Vernon.

Hi Vernon,

how did you get on with your wind wings?
After 500 motorway miles at the weekend I think I could do with a pair. Do you have any photo's of the mounting arrangement?

Cheers
Richard

No, I did not use them, after examining the windscreen metalwork I found fitting impossible as the captive mounting nuts had moved out of alignment and the hinge fitting would not work.
I sold them on eBay.
