Replica and specials display Thoresby 2014

Is there any interest in having a Replica and Specials display at the JEC 30th Anniversary event at Thoresby hall next year?

Looking back through old copies of the club magazine I see that there many interesting and beautiful Replicas and Specials owned by members of the JEC. Yet despite this there are still some members of the wider community who consider a well built Proteus, Ronart and Suffolk or well engineered Special as something not worthy of driving or showing.

I think a display showing the best of the Jaguar Replica and Special breeds would be both interesting and informative.

I think you know the answer to that question amongst our little group. It sounds like a good excuse for another weekend away. When and where is it?

The 30th Birthday Bash is over the weekend of 20th/21st and 22nd June.

Sunday is the static display, camping and caravan revelries and birthday bash starts on the Friday night, with more on the Saturday.

We will obviously have a forum section, may be worth trying to coordinate with Rob Jenner about what you can arrange regarding a display. Email:

Thanks for the info, will this "do" be held in the grounds of or adjacent to a decent hotel as camping is not an option.

The weekend events will take place in the grounds of Thoresby Hall. We will be uploading a large list of hotels in the near vicinity shortly.

Depending on interest for the Saturday night bash, it may mean we have to consider providing transport to help those attending get back to base, but again just surmising, not promising or saying it will happen.
