Realm C Type build project

Hi All......how much interest is there for a thread on building a Realm C......iv,e ordered one and have a doner car.......quite willing to do a full thread here if there is enough interest....also have or are you building one.....all the best... Steve

No...It will go through the IVA procedure with an age related plate to the doner car

That's ok then , not sure where I read it , but one Kit car manufacture is giving up , as DVLA are making it very hard to register the cars !

That's interesting to read, I wonder if anyone knows who the company is, I assume Nostalgia, Lynx & Heritage are still going? I have had my "C" type since May and had no problems once the DVLA finally got around to putting my plate on the car. It is the first all aluminium "C" built by Suffolk who are building at least 3 more and are still expanding so I think if you get a reputable company behind you, with all the correct documentation and proof of the history you should be O.K.

Please do let us know how you get on building the car, I haven't got the space, nor indeed the patience, to go through the process but I admire those who do.

I forgot to add that there are a couple of us with "C"'s on the Replicas site plus some other chaps with SS100's whom I'm sure would be interested in your project so perhaps that might be the best place to put your posts. I'm sure I will be corrected by a moderator if this is incorrect.
Out of interest, where abouts are you located?

Hi...lm located in Ludlow...Shropshire......as per the title it will be a Realm C type.....quite a lot already built and many in the build process....i dont see registration as a problem...its people trying to buck the system with the DVLA that are haveing problems......on the replica section there is nowhere that a Realm or C type would fit......maybee needs a new section.......need some interest before i invest the time to share the build..so come on guys...who,s interested or could even offer help......all tbe best.....Steve

I built a Suffolk SS100 and would be very interested in following your build and or answering your questions. Although it might be a different supplier and model but many of the problems are common. What is your donor car?

Hi All...ok so some interest...im up for starting a build thread......there isnt a section for Realm......or shall i just do it in this general section....will mail the moderators and see if we can have a Realm section.....my doner is a 4 door S1 Daimler Sovereign...Steve

If you are going to the trouble of 'mailing the mods. to see about a Realm section, why not change it to a "C" type section. This may bring some more out of the woodwork.
When Neil, Roy and I managed to get the replica section going we included all the various cars we could think of, some of which have a section but have never been used. Could we steal one of those and convert it to a "C" type section?

If you guys could also contact the moderators with your thoughts that would be great......i had a reply from one moderator saying it would need to be discussed before just adding a new section..it depends on what direction the forum wants to move in......so please fire away....thanks......if all fails i will just start the thread here in the general section....but its not the best place for it......i expect to collect the Chassis/body next week....Steve
