XJS radio - very low volume

Hi - hoping someone can help or point me in the right direction.

For a while the Jaguar own brand radio/cd in my '96 Coupe would power on every time but it would be at such a low volume that you can't hear it while driving. Every now and again it would play at proper volume on radio, tape or cd - starting on ignition.

Now though it is only on at very low volume on all speakers and is the same for the radio, tape and cd. All power to the units seem to be fine and the front panel is in good condition.

Someone mentioned that it might be a problem with the RF amplifier. Has anyone had a similar problem ? Where is the RF amplifier located ?
