Red Parking light

Hello all

The Red Handbrake Parking light stays on most of the time on my 1991 XJS V12. I suspect there is a mechanical switch that needs some WD40 on it. If I am correct, can someone tell me where it is or is it a more modern proximity switch? It is not important (at least I don't think so) but it is annoying.
